I read this on the web today at a very intriguing site
“Drought fell, and a shepherd travelled far, seeking pasture for his sheep. One day, after his morning prayer, a voice from heaven said, “Go up that mountain”. The shepherd reasoned within himself, “The voice was that of a spirit, so the words must be interpreted spiritually.” And he walked off, puzzled as to what they could mean. So he did not see the well-watered valley on the other side of the mountain, and the sheep all perished of thirst. So it is with those who hear, but do not do.”
